Job Title: Paralegal – Conveyancing Team

Role Overview:
As a Paralegal in our Conveyancing Team, you will play a vital role in supporting our solicitors and providing exceptional service to our clients in the property sector. You will be involved in a variety of tasks related to residential property transactions, ensuring smooth and efficient processes from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist solicitors in handling residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of ownership.
– Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, title deeds, and search reports.
– Liaise with clients, agents, lenders, and other third parties to gather necessary information and documents.
– Maintain case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
– Assist in the drafting and reviewing of missives, standard securities, and other conveyancing documents.
– Attend to administrative tasks, including updating client files, managing documents, and maintaining effective communication throughout the transaction process.
– Ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations and best practice standards.

 Key Requirements:

– Previous experience working as a Paralegal, ideally in a conveyancing or property law role.
– Strong understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures in Scotland.
– Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Knowledge of Scottish property law and the conveyancing process is highly desirable.
– An ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

– Paralegal qualification or relevant legal experience.
– A legal background or interest in property law is essential.
